Tribute

It is with much sadness that we announce Judith K. Black, of Zanesville, Ohio, entered her eternal life on Monday, June 20, 2022, at the age of 76, after a battle with cancer.

Judy was born in Zanesville, Ohio, to Robert Hartman and Marjorie Reeder.

After 35 years of working at Brockway Glass as a Quality Control Crew Leader, she retired to enjoy her hobbies of golfing, bowling, painting, and working out. Judy had a talent for decorating, landscaping, and cooking. She had a terrific sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. Holidays and children made her especially happy, and she enjoyed a good celebration. Judy loved her family, and especially adored her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Judy shared 44 years with her spouse, George Black, and between them, they had three daughters, and one son.

She is preceded in death by her Parents; John and Marjorie Haefner, Father; Robert Hartman, Former Husbands; Donald L Thompson and Larry E Murvine, Daughter; Gale Ann Thompson, Stepdaughter: Stacy Renee Black, and Grandson; Arturo John Nicholas “Nick” Salazar.

She is survived by her husband; George Black, Sister; Sandra Campbell, Daughters: Gaye Salazar of Columbus, Ohio; Tina (James) Barnett of Mt Juliet, Tennessee, and Son Eric (Janette) Murvine of Zanesville, Ohio. Grandchildren, Feather (Matthew) Webb, Brandon Norris, Alexandra Salazar, Brienne Barnett, Briley Barnett, Bracey Barnett, Leah Murvine, Kelsey Murvine, Landon Murvine, Olivia Murvine, Ayden Murvine, and Hannah Simon. Judy was also blessed with six great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on July 9th at the Eagle Sticks Golf Club in Zanesville, Ohio - the Pinehurst room. The family will start receiving friends at 1:00 pm, a brief memorial at 1:30, celebration and fellowship to immediately follow.
