Leo David Potts, 93 of Zanesville died Tuesday morning September 22, 2020 at the Genesis Health Care.
He was born on February 4, 1927 in Corning, OH the son of Leo Charles Potts and Margaret M. (Verfers) Potts.
Leo was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and former member of St. Mary of the Assumption in Lancaster. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran and retired as a quality control supervisor from Essex Wire plant in 1992 after 43 years of service.
He is survived by a daughter, Becky L. Jenkins of Zanesville; granddaughter Amanda "Mandi" Jenkins of Zanesville; great grandchildren, Nathan Christopher Scott and twins, Cali & Carter Thomas; a sister Rose (Bill) Mallory of Lancaster; a brother, George M. "Mickey" (Christy) Potts of Zanesville; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Potts & Ruth Potts.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Donna L. (Schug) Potts; three brothers, Jim, John & Robert "Bob" Potts & two sisters, Mary Potts & JoAnn Wurdack.
Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday, September 26 at the St. Mary of the Assumption, Lancaster with Fr. Craig R. Eilerman as celerbant. Burial with Military honors will conclude at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Lancaster with a brief visitation to be held at the cemetery after the final committal prayers.
