Richard Eugene McCormick, 73, of Zanesville passed at 6:43 A.M. Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Genesis Hospital.
He was born on Tuesday, December 25, 1945 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late James E. and Vivian Maxine Nowell McCormick.
Richard was a very proud U.S. Navy Veteran and was a member of the American Legion. Rick liked to attend car shows and even showed his car at them. Rick was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes Fan.
He is survived by three sons, James (Brenda) Edward McCormick II, Troy Richard McCormick and Terry L. McCormick; seven grandchildren, James E. McCormick III, Kayla N. McCormick, Beau W. McCormick, Jacob D. McCormick, Tucker McCormick, Taylor McCormick and Luke McCormick; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister Woodie Hunt; two nieces Wendy (Eric) King and Erika Wickham; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by a brother Gordon McCormick; and a sister Sally Adams.
Friends may call 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home where military service will be held at 3:00 P.M.
