Theresa Julia LaCrone

March 27, 1930 ~ August 6, 2022 (age 92) 92 Years Old

Tribute

Theresa Julia LaCrone, 92, of Zanesville went home to Jesus on Saturday, August 6, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 27, 1930 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Evart Hartley and Grace Hartley Warner. Theresa spent her entire life in Zanesville, attending Saint Nicholas Catholic Church, graduating from Saint Nicholas High School, raising her family, embarking on a long and successful professional career, and making many lifelong friends throughout the community. She was well known for her beautiful smile, her generous heart, and her incomparable homemade cinnamon rolls.
Theresa worked as a realtor and broker for over forty years, founding Home Opportunities Real Estate in 1986. She viewed being a realtor as a calling and was happy to have helped several generations of families find their homes throughout the Zanesville area. In addition to running her realty business, Theresa served as the President of the Zanesville Board of Realtors.
She was also a very active participant in the Zanesville Chapter of Soroptimist International and served as its President. This organization’s mission is to improve the lives of women and girls. The Zanesville Chapter provides educational scholarships; funds renovations at Transitions, a local women's shelter; and supports workshops on human trafficking and domestic violence. Theresa was a strong proponent of opportunities for young women and enthusiastically gave her time and talent to this calling. In addition to serving as a Soroptimist, Theresa was active in various roles in the Girl Scouts of America.
Theresa is survived by two children, Keith (Kim) LaCrone and Leisa (Robert) Ehlers; grandchildren, Kolby (Audry) LaCrone, Kinsey LaCrone, Emily (Jaymie) Trimble, Bailey Ehlers, and Kina Ehlers; two great grandchildren, Aubrey and Olivia; and many nieces and nephews. She loved her family deeply and delighted in their many life adventures and accomplishments. Her children and grandchildren in particular were the joys of her life. She was always involved in their school, sporting, and other events and was their biggest fan.
In addition to her parents and Stepfather, Harry J. Warner, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon LaCrone, and a brother, Melvin Warner
