Pamela Jean Armstrong

Pamela Jean Armstrong, 76, of South Zanesville passed at 3:56 PM Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born on Wednesday, August 16, 1944 in Massilion, Ohio the daughter of William Thompson and Sarah Carolyn Hohman Thompson.

Pam went to school and graduated from Dennison, Ohio. She worked at the Winerak and Heavenly Ham for 20 years, which she so loved and enjoyed talking to all the customers. She loved listening to Conway Twitty, Lennon Sisters and Alabama.

Pam and her husband, Butch had 6 children; Bill and his wife Chris, Jeff and his wife Gina, Tim, Brian and his wife Kathleen, Carolyn Dukes, and Carl and his wife Cortney. Pam is aslo survived by 26 grandchildren the she loved dearly, many great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob Thompson; many nieces and nephews; many dear friends at the Abbott Home and a very special childhood friend, Ginny Pozzi.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her husband, William “Butch” Armstrong; brothers, Bill “Sonny” Thompson, Gary "Lefty" Thompson and infant twins boys; sisters-in-law; Cora Thompson, Sandy Thompson and Helen Thompson; daughter-in-law Libby Armstrong, and son-in-law, Tony Dukes.

Visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday April 30th and one hour prior to funeral service, which will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 1st at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park.
